With more than 18 years of work experience in manufacturing — as a welder, machinist, technical salesperson, project manager and technical manager at companies like Stork Gears, ERIKS, Castolin and Lagersmit — I know what an unplanned shutdown costs. I know why an operator won't grab a laptop in the middle of a production run. I know that a solution that doesn't fit your way of working will never be used.
